I have a few Piccadilly notebooks and while they are almost a perfect match to Moleskins the quality is really bad. The elastic band stretches out after about 2 months and the binding breaks after 3. I would recommend something other than Picadilly.

Otherwise great post!

A very nice retrospective.

They aren't always easy to source, but I suspect there may be several Japanese made black notebooks worthy of attention.
